About the Event
Crying Uncle is Miles and Teo Quale. The band was founded in 2016 by the brothers, as a duo band with invited guest artists. They have had the opportunity to play at venues, including Largo at the Coronet in Los Angeles, CA (as guests ofThe Watkins Family Hour), Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse in Berkeley, Whippoorwill Arts/Northwest Folklife , Greyfox Bluegrass Festival, and Ogden Music Festival in Utah. Since 2016, both have performed at IBMA’s World of Bluegrass Festival in Raleigh, NC. Miles (fiddle) and Teo (mandolin) have had the privilege of playing with many phenomenal musicians including Marty Stuart, Brittany Haas, Sean Watkins, John Reischman, Darol Anger and Mike Marshall, and bands Sideline Bluegrass Band and Special Consensus. In 2019, Country Music Legend Marty Stuart invited the brothers to perform with his band at Ryman Auditorium. The Duo also performed at the Grand Ole Opry in August 2019, as guests of Connie Smith.
