Julie Meyers & Stan Read

Julie Meyers is a Singer-Songwriter who has been involved in the Sacramento Music Scene since the early 2000s. She has performed both as a solo act and as a side person for numbers bands, and has toured nationally as both. Her style runs form straight-ahead rock to country to jazz to folk. Stan Read, known as “The Cat in the Red Hat” has a fun background in jazz and broadway performance going back to 1962 when he headed to New York to work the music scene at the age of 21. Stan plays trombone and sings with the local big band Metro Swing. Both Julie and Stan will be performing with the Ken Meyers Trio (yes, Julie’s talented dad!) at the Side Door.
